Dappled sunlight, rooted trails, and flowing water remain a permanent fixture in my memory and a place of meditative visitation. Duality has become a reoccurring theme in my work, as I explore contrasts, and how light gets through the dark. Bold linework and large color fields creates a dialogue around energy and balance, where depth is created through multiple transparent watery layers of paint, laid upon the textures found below created by using graphite, charcoal, and pastel.
