My work emerges from a contemplative, faith-informed practice. Each painting begins in stillness—often in prayer—and unfolds as a quiet dialogue between memory, spirit, and light. Through abstraction, I explore what cannot be directly seen: the tension between shadow and illumination, the weight of experience, and the subtle movement of becoming.
Duality is central to my process—movement and rest, bold gesture and restraint, density and release. I build layered surfaces using graphite, charcoal, and pastel, then pour translucent veils of paint across them. These layers conceal and reveal in equal measure, allowing form to surface gradually rather than all at once.
I am not interested in depiction, but in presence. My work offers space—for reflection, for interior stillness, for encounter. Each painting becomes a threshold between the sacred and the everyday, the visible and the unseen.
